5 Stars Dove Cresswell Online Dog Training Course - This is another great dog training alternative. It doesn't have as much detailed information, or as many goodies as SitStayFetch but it is still a wonderful dog training course.

Dove Cresswell is a professional Hollywood dog trainer. In fact, she has trained many of the famous dogs that you see in both the movies and television.

The course itself comes with 7 Video lessons and 8 Audio Lessons, which cover subjects such as:

  • How To setup a potty training schedule
  • Learning the right and wrong ways to apply positive reinforcement
  • Choosing the right crate size for crate training
  • How your voice and body language are keys in the dog training process
  • How consistency is the only way to have your dog properly trained
  • Effective leash training techniques that anybody can learn
  • Learning Special Dog Tricks
I think the videos are excellent, and packed full of useful information. She has an excellent teaching style. She comes across as very likable, and you could tell she really loves dogs. I think the audio lessons could have been a little better, but its hard to nit pick when the videos are that good. Visit Dove Creswell's Online Dog Training Course.

4 Stars Instant Dog Training Videos - Created by By Professional Dog Trainer Debbie Jeane. This is kind of like a crash course in dog training. It doesn't pack as much information as the previous dog training courses, but it's definitely a good, solid course. Like the title, would imply, all the training is done through video form, and they cover such things as:

  • Housebreaking your dog
  • Jumping Up on People
  • Control Dog Barking
  • Putting your dog on a leash
  • What to do when the dog doesn't come when he is called
  • Nipping and biting problems
  • How to stop your dog from running away
  • Handle problems with digging
  • Handling nervous or shy dogs
I personally found it to be a little pricey for the content given, but all in all, you can't deny how informative it is. She definitely tries to make the dog training process as uncomplicated as possible, and succeeds. Visit Instant Dog Training Videos.

4 Stars Puppy 'N Dog Training Secrets - Created by Kevin Lynch, this course encompasses 9 video lessons which can be downloaded right onto your computer. In a strange twist, Kevin uses animation and cartoons as a way to teach the material, instead of using real life examples. It took me a while to get used to this, as I am so used to seeing courses with real examples.

The course itself covers:

  • Learning how to think like your dog
  • Always respecting the fact that your dog is a pack animal
  • Teaches why should always initiate playtime
  • How Dogs can learn through association
  • Why its important to control your dog's feeding time
  • How exercise is important to your dog's sleep cycle
  • Researching your dog's breed for its own unique traits
He also has some nice goodies like e-books that offer a ton of tips and tricks. He definitely gives a lot of value for such a reasonably priced course. However, as much as I was entertained by the animation in the course, it would have been better to use real life examples. But that's just my opinion. Visit Puppy 'N Dog Training Secrets.

3 stars Dogsology Instant Expert Dog Training Series - Somewhat similar to the Puppy N' Dog Training Secrets Course, in that it uses animation to teach its training methods. The one big difference, though is that, it doesn't pack anywhere near as much information as Kevin Lynch's course. The course goes over the basics like:

  • Basic dog obedience
  • Potty training
  • How to maintain discipline
  • Teaching your dog how to play fetch
But unfortunately it just doesn't delve that deep into it. It is certainly serviceable, but definitely not spectacular. Visit the Dogsology website.
