Two Simple Dog Training Tips That Can Save Your Dog's
Life
I just want to go over a couple of dog training
tips that many people forget about, but it should be really important to you, and of course your
dog.

In this post, I just want to go over a couple of
dog training tips that many people forget about, but it should be really important
to you, and of course your dog.
The first one is
you could never
have too much ID for your dog. At the beginning of your
dog training, lets face it, your dog is going to have his moments.
Something is going to grab his attention, and while
your looking the other way, he'll take off on you. He might have seen a squirrel he wanted to chase after or
something else that caught his eye, It doesn't matter. The point is you have to be prepared for
that.
Make sure that your dog has his tags. The information
should be updated and have the dog's name, your name, your address, and your phone number.
You want to make sure if the dog ever gets away from
you, you know that the person who found him can get a hold of you in some way. You could even take it a step
further, and have a tiny chip (the size of a grain of rice) inserted into the dog, as a form of radar, so
when the dog gets lost, you have some way of knowing where he is.
As a matter of fact, I just saw on the news the other
day about a person who was able to locate his dog on the freeway, because of the chip.
Second tip is that whenever you are in the dog training process, you should ALWAYS have a leash on the dog whenever you
go outside. It allows you to always be in control of the situation, but more importantly, it becomes a symbol
for the dog.
After awhile, you may not
even need the collar. Your dog should be able to know that just going outside means he has to walk beside you, and
you shouldn't even have to pull on the leash, because he'll be right next to you.
