Puppies Training
- When And How Should It Begin
You have to remember that every
single thing is brand new to the puppy, so there is a bit
of a learning curve, here.
You have to remember that every single
thing is brand new to the puppy, so there is a bit of a
learning curve, here.
Hopefully you got your puppy from a reputable
and reliable breeder so the dog has a strong foundation from
which you can teach him all the lessons he has to
learn.
In many ways, its kind of like raising a
child, although obviously in a much a shorter time span (hence
the doggy years).
But how you go about raising the puppy
teaches it a lot more than just the basic sit down and kneel,
it provides how he responds to outside
factors.
You should try to raise your puppy with some
outside stimulus. Just as you would a child. You wouldn't keep
a child all kooked up inside the house would
you??
It's the same concept with a dog. Take him
outside and show him the environment that he lives in. Begin
training him when there is other distractions like humans, and
even other dogs around.
It's obviously a lot easier to train your dog
in the comfort of your own home, but once you take them out for
a walk, you don't know how they are going to
react.
It's important that they can behave when
there are other things that can grab their attention.
Obviously, the basics like potty training, should be done at
home.
But when you get your dog outside, he can
become a more sociable and less timid dog. This way he doesn't
freak out later, like so many dogs do when a new person enters
their lives. The earlier you can start this, the
better.
